We collect the following information when you use Elite Rank:
Account Information: Username and hashed password for authentication.
Contact Information: Email address (if provided) for account recovery and support.
Usage Data: Pages visited, teams viewed, rankings accessed, search queries, and feature interactions (e.g., match predictions run, comparisons made).
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, Expo push notification token, and app version.
Transaction Data: Subscription status and purchase history, processed through RevenueCat (see Section 3).

Minor Data IMPORTANT
Elite Rank is designed for the youth soccer community, including users under 16. Any data from users under 16 is classified as Sensitive Personal Information.
We do not track location, display personalized advertisements, or engage in behavioral profiling for minors. Minor accounts must be managed via Apple Family Sharing or Google Family Link. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of Elite Rank.

Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
We share data with the following third-party services, strictly for operational purposes. No data is sold to advertisers or data brokers.
RevenueCat (Subscription Management): We use RevenueCat to process and manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your anonymous app user ID, subscription status, purchase history, and device identifiers to validate entitlements. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or any personally identifiable information beyond what Apple/Google shares during the purchase flow. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
ScrapingBee (League Data Processing): We use ScrapingBee to retrieve publicly available youth soccer league standings and match results from third-party websites (e.g., GotSport, SportsEngine, Demosphere). ScrapingBee processes only the URLs we send for scraping; no user data, personal information, or device identifiers are transmitted to ScrapingBee. Expo Push Notifications: If you enable push notifications, your Expo push token is stored on our server and used to send notifications via Expo's push notification service. Expo receives only the push token and notification content.

How We Use Your Data
To provide and personalize the Elite Rank service (rankings, predictions, team tracking).
To manage your subscription status and Pro feature access.
To send push notifications you have opted into (rank change alerts, trial reminders).
To improve our EQ algorithm and service quality through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service.

Data Retention & Storage
Your data is stored on secure PostgreSQL servers. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see Section 7), all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Aggregated, anonymized data (e.g., total match predictions run) may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.

Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access: Download a copy of all your personal data via the in-app Data Export feature (Pro tab > Privacy Center > Data Export).
Delete: Permanently delete your account and all associated data via the in-app Permanent Delete button (Pro tab > Privacy Center > Permanent Delete).
Correct: Request correction of inaccurate data by contacting help@eliterank.app.
Opt Out: Disable push notifications at any time via your device settings or in-app toggle.
California residents (CCPA), EU residents (GDPR), and other jurisdictions with data protection laws may exercise additional rights by contacting help@eliterank.app.

Account Deletion IN-APP
You can permanently delete your account directly within the app. Go to the Pro tab > Privacy Center > Permanent Delete. This action:
Immediately removes your account, followed teams, notification settings, and all personal data.
Cancels any active RevenueCat subscriptions associated with your account.
Is irreversible. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

No Dark Patterns
We promise a One-Click Cancel policy for our $9.99/month Pro plan. No hidden fees, no guilt trips, no hoops to jump through. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your iTunes Account Settings on your iOS device.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use of Elite Rank after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
